kisacchedesign > Caesarea by the Mediterranean Sea
kisacchedesign > This ancient aqueduct is located in the city of Caesarea, along the Mediterranean Sea in Israel.
kisacchedesign > A riverbed in the Elah Valley, much like the one David used to select his rocks to defeat Goliath.

The Elah Valley is the location of Israel's historic battles with the Philistines. It was here that the shepherd-boy, David, defeated Goliath. As the Philistines were encamped on the Western side (left) and the Israelites on the Eastern side (right), it was in the valley that Goliath would come out daily to taunt and challenge the Israelites. Of course, if you know your Bible, you know the rest of the story...

kisacchedesign > This is a very ancient excavation which has only been uncovered in the last 12 years. It was found in the region of Tel Dan, and everything you see is original, with exception of the canopy and the wood reinforcement for the entryway.

Prior to being settled by the tribe of Dan, this region was already a mighty city named Laish. It was during this time that the Abraham and his men pursued the northern kings who had captured his nephew Lot as far as Dan (according to Genesis 14:14). The reason this gate is called "Abraham's Gate" is because Abraham almost certainly would have had to pass through this gate in his pursuit.
kisacchedesign > We had the opportunity to ride on this replica of a fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee. Here the boat owner demonstrates the fishing method of "casting nets" over the side of the boat. He didn't catch anything. I told him to try the other side, but apparently that was not a necessary miracle.
